Well, I got tagged by dearie, and because I am me I shall do yet another journal meme :3.

Ready? Set? Go time!:

1. Working in the kitchen at school (one of my classrooms is a full-scale, restaurant-style kitchen. Long story.) taught me many things. Particularly that pumpkin pie mix looks and sounds like puke, and kneading fondant, which is the stuff found on many wedding cakes and doesn't even taste good, is a pain in the ass.

2. I just realized that most of the guys who I find attractive are over 30 (some are even over 40). And you know, I'm seventeen.

3. At school I am "the pervy sage."

4. Hands are fascinating. The particular angles at which fingers bend to gesture or hold objects are aesthetically pleasing. Also, I really like to look at nicely-shaped, bony-but-not-too-bony hands, with just the right length of the fingers, the right size of the palm, ...okay, I'm starting to sound really creepy here. I swear I don't have a hand fetish.

5. Pop music naturally repulses me (there are certain exceptions, obviously. For example, everything by Michael Jackson, and some of the stuff by Lady Gaga, because she does most of the songs herself, and I respect that). For example, for one of the Jonas Brother's songs, you only need to play 4 CHORDS on the guitar. 4 CHORDS for an entire guitar track. That’s like playing only 4 notes on the piano or something.

6. Speaking of all things pop, I can't really stand the way most of those Asian idols look. Okay, I don't care if they use plastic surgery to change their appearances anymore but they just look...fake and "in-your-face."

7. I have a big weakness for anything batshit insane, and manga just happens to have a history of gloriously nutty stuff.

8. I firmly believe that you can enjoy music without knowing sh*t of the lyrics. I say this because one girl asked me why I listen to Japanese songs if I don't understand the lyrics. As corny as this sounds, music is a universal language, as is visual art. Plus you can always find online translations of the lyrics .

9. I really find the brain beautiful. It is simultaneously powerful and fragile. Powerful because it is the "computer" of the body, and fragile because just one defect and your perception of the world changes dramatically. I can only imagine how schizophrenics see the world, with their hallucinations as concrete as the objects that are actually there. I should do a comic about the brain one day...

10. Don’t you find it funny that your tastes change so much in only a few years? Three years ago I thought Buck Tick was kinda creepy after watching one of their videos, and I didn't quite like that song in the video either. Well, I recently decided to listen to that song again, and I liked it. I've been on a Buck Tick spree since XD. Plus the singer is way too hot for a 43 year old . Yay for awesome facial structure :3!
